CAN THIS BE TRUE ABOUT NORTHERN NIGERIA?

WHY NORTHERN NIGERIA IS THE POOREST PART OF THE COUNTRY NIGERIA BY FORMER EMIR OF KANO ( HRH SANUSI LAMIDO SANUSI) 

In his words he said it is due to the population of people who are educated to the ratio of uneducated in northern Nigeria, poverty can lead to disbelief in which he stated that population of uneducated in the north is due to bad economic priority.

then he asked, WHY SHOULD A FATHER GIVE BIRTH TO A CHILD AND LEAVE THE CHILD TO FEND FOR HIMSELF?
